The World ARC is a sailing rally organized by the World Cruising Club. Their signature event, the Atlantic Rally Cruise (aka ARC) has been running for 20 years now, and attracts several hundred boats each year to sail together from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. Of those hundreds, a mere 30 or so yachts each year decide to then take on the World ARC, and sail 26,000 nautical miles around the world over the course of 15 months. In 2016, Ressie joined the rally at its midway point in Darwin, and sailed with the fleet to the Caribbean via South Africa.
Ressie is now joining the World ARC 2019/20 fleet in St Lucia. We will sail with the fleet through the Panama Canal, and across the Pacific, leaving the fleet in Vanuatu.
